DIGITAL DOWNLOADS: Rates have not been established for on-demand streaming and limited downloads since 2001 and the National Music Publishers Association is in the courts and continues to negotiate a new rate for this digital media use of music. The outcome is not expected to be known, until late 2007, possibly until 2008. Until then, HFA and other agencies will just keep logging downloads and streaming media, until a rate is established and payments can be made. Therefore, we will issue a DIGITAL DOWNLOAD/STREAMING MEDIA LICENSE upon NOTICE OF INTENT TO MAKE & DISTRIBUTE DIGITAL DOWNLOADS OR TO STREAM MEDIA. PLEASE CONTACT THE OFFICE WITH YOUR NOTICE OF INTENT.
